For many men, grooming is a word seldom used and the mere mention of it sends shivers down their spines. Beards are in. The hobo look is on the rise. Men often spend more time catching up on sports in the morning as opposed to working on their looks for work. It’s not often then, that a specific day is dedicated to observing men’s grooming, but on 19th August 2016 the men of the world will join forces for Men’s Grooming Day. Having started out in the US by American Crew to pay attention to men’s appearance, the campaign has since gone global. In this regard, Philips has launched a campaign of their own, a 21-day challenge (The Philips Challenge) to men to change their habits when it comes to shaving and grooming.
The challenge here is to use one of Philips‘ many electric shavers over a period of 21 days, and while noticing the difference in your beard and skin, also change the way you use your shaver. Fortress of Solitude has partnered with Philips to meet the challenge, and would like to take one of our male readers on the same journey.
The 21-day challenge will start on the 29th July 2016 as a build up to Men’s Grooming Day. All you have to do is comment below with any experience you had using your preferred shaving tool. We’ll be (randomly) selecting one reader from the comments below. Philips will provide the winner with a shaver from their range to meet their requirements. So whether you have sensitive skin, tough beard, ingrown facial hair, or simply just hate shaving on a daily basis, Philips has a shaver suited to your needs.

The winner will be expected to post social media updates during the three weeks of the Philips Challenge, a minimum of one per week, as well as one video blog. Be as creative as you wish, just keep it clean.
