One of the biggest names in the comedy and film industry (with more than 30 films to his credit), American stand-up comedian Kevin Hart has kicked off his immense international world tour, titled ‘What Now?’.
The exciting news is that he has made South Africa one of his destinations (which he will be traveling to for the very first time). His first world tour, “Let me Explain”, hit Europe in 2012 and sold out at the London arena. “What Now?” has already been described as the biggest comedy tour in history, with Hart already breaking ticket sales records across the world.
Tickets went on sale on the 4th September 2015 and the tour kicked off in the UK on the 20th January 2016. Hart has been to countries such as the UK, Berlin, Amsterdam, Singapore and will be hitting our shores on the 26th of March. Starting off at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town, moving on to the ICC Durban arena the 28th of March and ending off his South African leg of the tour at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg (Mzansi) on the 30th of March.
In 2015 Kevin starred in Screen Gem’s smash hit, The Wedding Ringer, which took in over $80 million internationally, and in March 2015, starred opposite Will Farrell in Warner Bros. Pictures’ Get Hard. In 2016, Kevin will star in Ride Along 2, the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s $150 million international blockbuster. With nearly 20 million Facebook followers and over 21 million on both Instagram and Twitter, from all over the world, the WHAT NOW? TOUR will give his extensive fan base an opportunity to see him live, including first-time stops in Australia, Belgium, Germany, Ireland and South Africa.
“Savanna’s association with this unconventional, world class entertainer is spot on for the brand which is why we have gone all out to bring Kevin Hart to South Africa on his very first visit to the African continent. His rise to fame as the ultimate maverick, quitting his job as a shoe salesman after an electrifying chance performance in a Philadelphia comedy club, exemplifies Savanna’s left-of-centre attitude and shunning of the ordinary,” says Marcel Swain, Savanna SA Marketing Manager.
The countdown has begun and the “What Now?” tour is guaranteed to be a larger-than-life experience!
The Kevin Hart What Now? Comedy Tour is promoted by Real Concerts with co-partners M-Net, 947 and East Coast Radio. Tickets are available from Computicket.
