Zoolander 2 – Movie Review

After 15 years of waiting, Zoolander 2 has given us more really ridiculously good-looking things.

The plot for the sequel has been kept heavily under wraps. All you really need to know is that Derek and Hansel are back on the runway and protecting the world once again. From the brains of Justin Theroux and Ben stiller, comes a sequel that HAD to be done. The screenplay is perfectly written with so many underhanded and blatantly controversial lines that it will have just about everyone crying with laughter.

Surpassing the budget of 2001’s original, Zoolander 2 includes fashion giants Valentino, Mark Jacobs and Benedict Cumberbatch playing an asexual, sci-fi looking model. I must give praise to the costume designer and creative minds behind Kristen Wiig’s fashion mogul character, Alexanya Atoz. She wore the most outrageous outfits and her accent, a mix of Russian and German (I think), is hilarious. Listening to her pronounce words like “history” will have you in stitches.

I’m sure any Zoolander fan will thoroughly enjoy this movie for the followings reasons:

(1) Justin Bieber has the most ludicrous death ending in an Insta selfie.
(2) Penelope Cruz makes several references to her amazingly natural breasts.
(3) Will Ferrell has turned Mugatu into even more of a hot little potato on crazy pills.
(4) Derek Zoolander’s son is revealed and their interactions are so unpredictable.

If you ever wondered what ‘The Centre for Kids Who Can’t Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too’ might have achieved, wonder no more. All is revealed in this genuis sequel.
