Over the past few months, Samsung has been trialling its Galaxy Rewards program by means of a beta app on Android. The aim is simple, earn as much points as you can, and then spend those points on Samsung products. The catch here is that you’ll be filling out a few questionnaires and downloading apps for these points. No doubt that Samsung has an onboarding campaign with these companies advertising their apps through the Rewards app, but it’s a win-win for all in involved, provided you have sufficient data to download the apps in question. Having tested the app for a few months now myself, accumulating points isn’t straightforward, if you want the big rewards that is. And the rewards can be big. For example, users can trade they’re points for a 55” LED TV for a substantial amount, or for airtime and Play Store cards for those not willing to stick it out. If you own one of the later Galaxy smartphones, you can download the app here.
