In 2006, (what seemed to be) the last instalment of the Rocky franchise was released to mixed reviews. The franchise treated us to a rollercoaster of good and bad films, ending off in with a fairly decent Rocky Balboa film, which seemed to have closed the door on the saga. As it turns out, the world can now look forward to a spin-off film, Creed. The project has officially taken off, with sufficient information released in that regard. The story follows the grandson of Apollo Creed, the former world champion who in the first film, took on the amateur, Rocky. The grandson will be played by Michael B. Jordan, who recently voiced Cyborg in the animated film, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. Creed tries his hand at fighting, and then turns to Rocky Balboa (to be played by Sylvester Stallone himself) for assistance. Fans shouldn’t expect too much from the 67 year old Stallone, which isn’t by any means a bad thing.
