Marvel’s Black Panther Confirmed by Stan Lee

Marvel's Black Panther Confirmed by Stan Lee

There’s a lot been going on for Marvel since they started pushing more superhero films a few years ago. Marvel Studios has recently revealed information regarding three films to be scheduled between 2016 and 2017. Although the titles were to remain a mystery until closer to their release dates, Stan Lee decided to reveal one of the titles himself, “Black Panther”. Lee confirmed the film during an interview with Screen Rant at the Wizard World Comic-Con, New York City:

“The people at Marvel are spending hours trying to think ‘What’ll we do next?’ And there’s a damn good chance that they will think just what you mentioned because it would be a great idea, and little by little, everything you want to see will come along because they’re just like you. They’re fans of the stories and are trying to think, ‘What will the fans like to see next? What would we like to see next?’

So they’re working on Ant-Man, working on Doctor Strange; they’re working on Guardians of the Galaxy; they’re working on God knows what. Did I say the Black Panther also? They’re the ones I know about.”

Although there’s no real development on the project, rumours have already started doing the rounds as to who will play the lead role for the Wakandan Leader. One of the names on top of the pile is Vin Diesel. Rumours of his appearance as Marvel’s first black superhero started after it was confirmed that the actor received a phone call from Marvel Studios. Little else is known about the three films despite having the confirmed release dates (6 May 2016, 8 July 2016, and 5 May 2017), although fans may expect more news during this year’s upcoming Comic-Con.
