He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Rebooted and Redesigned

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe-Rebooted and Redesigned

On the 17th April 2013 DC Comics officially released the first issue in the rebooted comic series for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. This issue already threw in a few surprises with the return of She-Ra, but only as a member of the Evil Horde under Hordak’s control, and going by the name of Despara. The comic was written by Keith Giffen, art by Pop Mhan, cover by Ed Benes, variant cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson, and includes around 32 pages of action for $2.99 (roughly R30).

In the fourth issue of the reboot, DC has taken the bold step of introducing a new look for He-Man. The redesign has already drawn the criticisms of many a fan, but as with all superheroes and villains, it’s bound to happen at some point or another.
