At a small press event held in Rosebank, for the Johannesburg leg of the national launch, Hyundai Motor Company celebrated the first unveiling of the innovative Hyundai Veloster alongside 3D artist, Kurt Wenner, who was on site with a 3D depiction of the car being unboxed.
“Just as Wenner has carved a niche through his unique application of three-dimensional art in his drawings, Hyundai has followed a novel approach to the compact coupé segment by creating a car with a unique third door.”
The Hyundai Veloster comes standard with a host of standard extras, including a 7” LCD touch screen display, Bluetooth integration that offers video streaming, 2+1 door configuration, 60:40 folding rear seats, rear-mounted camera with parking assist, automatic climate control, and great safety features. The Veloster is aimed more toward the younger market with its sleek design known as fluidic sculpture, and “unique combination of style, practicality and economy.” There are many more impressive features available with the Veloster, which we’re hoping to feature soon on FoS.
The Veloster goes on sale at Hyundai dealerships around the country from 15th April 2013, with prices starting around R260,000 for the 1.6l GDI. Be sure to keep a lookout for the team in and around Cape Town and Durban soon.
