A short while ago, Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment were playing around with the idea of bringing two classic cartoon characters to life on the big screen. These movies were based on Looney Tunes’ Marvin the Martian and Hanna-Barbera’s Hong Kong Phooey. Director, Alex Zamm, released some screen test footage of some CG animation highlighting the direction the movies would have taken. Unsurprisingly, both movies were canned, and judging by the footage below, you can understand why. What is surprising is that Eddie Murphy had signed up for the lead voice role of Phooey; reiterating what has become of his career.
