The controversy around ‘The Spear’ seems to have had a ripple effect felt across all spheres of life in South Africa. The latest is the ban of Nandos’ latest spoof which tackles South Africa’s prickly issue of xenophobia. The SABC has banned the ad and after airing it this past weekend multichoice has followed suit and banned the ad as well. It seems more like political correctness than common sense if you ask me.
