Samsung have just released details for their upcoming event. After a good few months of speculation, rumours, and a few good and bad “leaks” along the way regarding the next Galaxy smartphone, we finally get something official. The news broke via a Dutch website, Tweakers.net. According to the sources, the event will be held on the 3rd May 2012 in London, in which Samsung invites us to “Come and Meet the Next Galaxy.”
This in itself creates a few more talking points, as there is no mention of the name, code or specifications, or that it will even be the Galaxy SIII. What we can confirm, however, is that the device will not pack 3D capabilities, as an earlier rumour suggests. If you’re tired of all the rumours floating around the Galaxy SIII, or the Samsung event, you won’t have to wait much longer, with just 17 days until the event. You can definitely expect a few more “leaks”, right up to the big event.
Rumours about the specifications of the next Galaxy smartphone are as follows:
- 1.8GHz Dual-Core Exynos 4212 CPU
- 2GB RAM
- 12MP Rear-Facing Camera
- 4.6” Super AMOLED Plus HD Display
Do these specs match your expectations?
